I am not catholicism-based, but I know many people who follow the rules of this creed very carefully. I admire their dedication, & I think they're magnificent people because of it. There are a lot of things in life that are magnificent in abstract theory, but aren't so great in practice. Though a catholic wedding day seems to cover what the faith means to those who attend, I've to say it is lacking a little bit. Though who follow this religious conviction are acclimated to the length of the wedding-ceremony and the christian wedding songs, but for some-one like me, this is something of a shock. One of my dearest friends asked me to be in her catholicism-based wedding day, & I had no concept what I was getting in to when I agreed. I enjoyed the christian wedding songs, but it was lengthy!

The ceremony itself is not bad, it's the length of it. It seemed to me that everybody was traveling in stop motion, & that did not help. A catholic wedding day is a long affair, but that could not be the case if everybody would just move a little quicker. You can get things done with-out appearing rushed if you put your brain to it, but it seemed that everybody who was involved in her catholicism-based wedding wanted to take their time, including the individuals who sang the christian wedding songs.

The length of the wedding-ceremony was a little bit much for me, & the key factor was my choice of shoe. I had to have some-thing with a heel, but I had no idea that I would have to stand in them for an hour. By the time we were half-way done with the catholic wedding day wedding-ceremony, I thought my toes were going to break off. They hurt like crazy, and my dress wasn't long enough for me to slide them off for a little comfort. I noticed many of the other girls in the wedding day were shifting around awkwardly, & when there were minutes when we could sit, one could hear an audible sigh of relief from most of the wedding day party.

Over all, though, the catholic wedding day was beautiful, & I am glad that my friend & her brand-new husband had the wedding they wanted, & that everything went smoothly. My biggest problem was that I did not know what to expect, and that ought to have been some-thing that I asked as the arrangements were being made. She was very aware that we might be uncomfortable, but she was so weary that she mentioned this to us much too late. That's okay though, I would do any-thing for her. I will think twice if someone else asks me to be a part of a catholicism-based wedding day again though.
