Since the 1980s, many great arcade games have made it onto many leading systems with limited success. Many successful games and concepts such as Super Mario, Pong, and many others have made the move. Now in this new generation, Microsoft is seeking to do the same thing with its Xbox 360 console on LIVE Arcade. In hopes of doing this, they launched Bejeweled 2, the now favorite PC lite game from Popcap.

The online game offers many different modes. The first mode is classic which looks like the mobile phone type. You connect three or more gems of distinct colours in any direction to get rid of them from the monitor. By doing away with the gems you get points. If you eliminate of four gems you get a rare gem that when matched will explode and eradicate the surrounding gems. If perhaps you get rid of 5 gems you get a special gem that when switched for another gem, will get rid all gems on the screen of that colour. When you remove jewels, additional gems fall in the space left. If perhaps these additional gems match up they will take off additional gems and start a chain reaction.

There are three additional Bejewelled 2 modes: action which allows you to play for ten minutes and allows you to challenge for the high score in the provided time, puzzle which takes you to complete a puzzle with a limited number of plays and finally infinite which permits you to continue playing until eventually you run out of combinations.

Although Bejeweled will not genuinely show off the power of your Xbox360, its low price and ability to challenge against buddies certainly makes the game worth buying.
