I bought the Soleus HGW308 model electric heater that you could mount to your wall last year. The leading reason why I bought this electrical heater is because we moved into a home that does not have central heat and air. It also had absolutely no heat anywhere, nothing previously installed.

I've got two children and as everyone knows space heaters are usually not good for kids to be around. So when I spotted this wall mount heater I thought it would be perfect. I could mount this high enough on the wall that little hands would not be able to reach it. Well unfortunately that is the only good thing this particular wall mounted electrical heater is good for.

Although my very own children did not touch the heater and it did look a lot better when compared to any unit sitting on the floor, they also did not get warm enough. The heater doesn't put out the right amount of heat to warm a regular sized room. So I went out and purchased two of these wall mounted heaters. One for each child's room.

I mounted them on the walls and hoped for the best. Their rooms only got slightly warmer when compared to the rooms without heat in them. Even with the doorways closed they had to curl up inside their blankets and the room felt cool. I do not believe the room ever reached the set temperature or that the heater ever cut off because it never really attained the set temperature.

So that is not really Eco friendly, now is it? Needless to say, I took both wall heaters back to the store. I got the other version that goes on the floor. Although they're unattractive they do work. Not long after I got central heat into the home. Now my house is warm and toasty during the winter time, with the kids snug safe in their beds. I don't recommend to get cheap wall mount heaters for your residence, but rather go for high quality ones.
